Liebe TWEED WALKER, unser traditioneller, alljährlicher TWEED WALK findet dieses Mal im schönen Aachen statt. Mit einem herzlichen Dankeschön an Rosto Iosif für die kreative
Organisation vor Ort übergeben wir nun den Stab an ihn. Eure Marie & Ferdinand
Liebe Freunde des guten Geschmacks,
ich habe die Freude, für uns den herbstlichen TWEED WALK organisieren zu dürfen. Wir werden uns in diesem Jahr in der alten Kaiser-Krönungsstadt Aachen treffen zu einem gemütlichen Spaziergang vorbei am Elisenbrunnen, dem Aachener Dom, dem imposanten Rathaus und weiteren Highlights. Einkehrmöglichkeiten für eine Kaffeepause gibt es reichlich.
Auch der 6 TWEED WALK steht wieder ganz im Zeichen stilvoller Herbst- und Tweed-Garderobe. Speziell die Damen möchte ich darauf aufmerksam machen, dass ein Großteil der Altstadt mit Kopfsteinpflaster belegt ist.
Da Aachen am Rand von NRW gelegen ist, möchte ich den bisherigen Modus Operandi etwas ergänzen. Für alle, die SCHON AM TAG VORHER anreisen möchten, bietet sich die MÖGLICHKEIT ZU EINEM GEMEINSAMEN ABENDESSEN in einem Italienischen Restaurant - eingerichtet im Art-Deco-Stil. Gerne auch in Abendgarderobe. Im Anschluss können wir bei einem Absinth in der wunderschönen Grotesque Bar den Abend stilvoll ausklingen lassen.
Der eigentliche TWEED WALK startet dann am Sonntag um 14:00 Uhr vor dem Café "Living im Magellan" in der Pontstr. 78 in Aachen. Ihr könnt aber auch jederzeit ab 10:00 Uhr dort eintrudeln und mit uns frühstücken!
Diejenigen, die schon am Samstag dabei sein möchten, bitte ich um eine zusätzliche über das Kontaktformular dieses Blogs, damit ich für das Restaurant einen Tisch reservieren kann. Hotelreservierungen regelt bitte individuell.
Zusammen mit Marie und Ferdinand freue ich mich jetzt schon über eure rege Teilnahme und einen schönen Walk durch Aachen!

Dear friends of good taste,
I have the pleasure of organising the autumn TWEED WALK for us. This year we will meet in the old imperial coronation city of Aachen for a leisurely walk past the Elisenbrunnen, Aachen Cathedral, the imposing City Hall and other highlights. There are plenty of places to stop for a coffee break.
The 6 TWEED WALK is once again all about stylish autumn and tweed wardrobe. I would especially like to draw the ladies' attention to the fact that a large part of the Old Town is covered with cobblestones.
Since Aachen is located on the edge of NRW, I would like to add something to the previous modus operandi. For all those who would like to arrive THE DAY BEFORE, there is the OPPORTUNITY OF A JOINT DINNER in an Italian restaurant - furnished in Art Deco style. You are welcome to come in evening dress. Afterwards we can end the evening in style with an absinthe in the beautiful Grotesque Bar.
The actual TWEED WALK will start on Sunday at 2pm in front of the Café "Living im Magellan" at Pontstr. 78 in Aachen. But you can also arrive there at any time from 10:00 a.m. and have breakfast with us!
For those who would like to join us on Saturday, please send an additional request via the contact form of this blog, so that I can reserve a table for the restaurant. Please arrange hotel reservations individually.
Together with Marie and Ferdinand I am already looking forward to your active participation and a nice walk through Aachen!
